From our initial meeting with Jon, we were impressed with his knowledge and especially the fact that there was no pressure!! We were expecting a hard sales pitch and were pleasantly surprised when Jon listened to what we wanted and said ‘okay’. When we said that replacing the windows at this time wasn’t in our budget, he again said ‘okay’ – no pressure!! What a great experience to feel like someone is listening to what you want and can afford.

Jim who did the work was phenomenal – all our questions and concerns were answered and he was wonderful in keeping us up to date with his progress. It was exciting to come home each day and see the progress that had been made. He was even great with our dog – trying to get her to calm down with all the banging!!

Windows from Nicholas & Son are everything they said they'd be. Aside from being great looking windows that are easy to handle and to care for and really keeping the house warmer in winter and cooler in summer, they have the added bonus of keeping the house quieter from outside noises It was hard to believe windows could make such a difference!

Jon Porter is quite the salesman. He had us hooked almost right away and we are pleased he did. He certainly is the best man for that job! He is also very friendly. Jon told me when the house was completed I would go to the grocery store and, come back and go right by our house. I thought that was a big joke. However, yesterday I came back from church and even though I was going slow, I couldn’t find my house! His prediction came true! Thank you Jon.

Young Travis Downes, what a great and fast worker you are. You stripped the shakes off our house (most of the house) in no time flat. How great it is to be young! You also are very friendly. Thank you Travis.

Last, but certainly not least, is Dan Couture. You came on the last day to help your dad. You were a big help. Your dad would not have gotten done with the job early if you had not helped him. You are a very nice man, truly, and it was a pleasure to meet you. You too are very friendly. Thank you Dan.

You, undoubtedly, have noticed I have used the word “friendly” for each of your people. That is because, besides the great workmanship you do, being friendly with your customers is what makes a company great. And great is Nicholas and Son! On the last day I surprised myself by having tears in my eyes when Jerry and Dan were packing everything up to leave. Mixed emotions, I suspect, sad to see them leave but happy our house is done, except for the gutters, and looks so beautiful.
